If you are engaged or are even talking about it this sale is one that you will not want to miss. When most bridal salons hold sample sales the gowns are usually very tattered. It’s a new day! For our country, our freedom, and FASHION!!! Ladies and gentleman we finally have a first lady again that has style and grace. The kind so many women and young girls can look up to.

Hopefully this will give way to a ladylike movement. No more jeans at special events! No more thongs hanging out of the top of pants! No more wearing clothes four times smaller than your size. Hello pearls, and gloves, elegance, confidence, and manners!

Ladies, be confident in your size and your beauty. Michelle Obama stands a staggering six feet tall and moves with elegance and poise. Embrace who you are is the message she sends and thank goodness.

Red Carpet Season Has Arrived!!!!

Oh Yes! It’s the season for crash dieting, face peeling, hair extensioning, wardrobe styling GALORE!!! All that is the red carpet is about to begin with the Golden Globes in 2009.

As an experienced red carpet attendee (and fab event planner and stylist) I can assure some fabulosity and the the always important red carpet blunders. I cannot wait!!!!

The CARPET-
Believe me, not everything is as it seems. The red carpet affairs are well oiled machines...most of the time. You can usually tell when a celebrity has not hired the right stylist or their PR rep was taking a nap that day. Some of the best and most real celebrity moments happen on the red carpet and that is what fashionistas and entertainment junkies keep their eyes glued to E! and TV Guide’s red carpet shows. To show us all that underneath all of that “perfection” there is reality and that kind of beauty is possible for anyone! You just have to make YOUR moment happen.

The Parties-
Along with the red carpet comes all of the amazing indulging parties and gifting suites. Parties that have the most amazing food from celebrity chefs. Some caterers I have had the pleasure of working with. Tremendous fresh flowers including thousands of roses flown in from Ecador are usually included as well by amazing floral designers. Indulgence is the middle name of these lavish wonderful parties.

The Gift Bags-
What would a party be without the always important gift bag. If you look at Adore’s Galery of events you will notice they almost always include a gift for all of the guests that attend. Gift bags are usually packed with the hottest products in hopes that the celebrity will be photographed using the product. (ie: a sidekick, bang olufson phones, etc)

As you know the Oscars will be arriving soon and I have great photos and ideas for that perfect Oscar party to be thrown for all of your closest friends. Tomorrow we’ll be reviewing coverage, parties, and celeb attire .

It’s an elegant Bridal Bargain

Christmas is one of the biggest holidays to get engaged and therefore I expect my phone to soon be ringing off of the hook very soon. Not just for wedding planning, but for styling as well!

Every bride from New York to LA is looking for that perfect dress...for less. And even though we’d all love to have that special day of sipping champagne and being waited on hand and foot at that special bridal salon. In today’s economy, That may not be realistic for 75% of the population. Here I have compiled THE LIST. This list contains the sample sales and trunk shows for bridal and wedding attire over the next few months for the Minneapolis, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles areas.

Remember, Trunk Shows are a showing of the designer’s newest collection in full. Most stores cannot carry and entire line. Therefore, this gives you an opportunity to try on even more styles of dresses and have something even more unique. Although Trunk Shows may not always be full of deals. You can get complimentary extras thrown in most of the time if you ask. Everyone knows alterations, buttons, lace trim, etc. become expensive extras. This is your chance to get those extras at a lesser price or thrown in.

Sample Sales are excess merchandise or gently used merchandise.
1) You must arrive early to sample sales to get the goods.
2) You usually need to pay in cash. Macy’s usually has one in the spring and it’s well worth it. From what I hear you can get bridesmaid dresses for $49.95 and they are two for one!!!!
3) Smaller sizes (0- 8) have the best luck at these sales since the items have usually been used on mannquinns, models, etc.
Online sample sales can also be helpful if you are already familiar with a designer. You’ll have alterations anyhow, so why not?

A packed house turned out to flaunt their version of glamour at Bella’s third annual Glamorous Lifestyle Party Presented by Taylortainment & Sponsored by Sky Vodka, T Mobile, Blackberry, and many more. Held on Bella’s ever so generous Wednesday “ladies night”, there were plenty of pretties and interesting interpretations of what “glam” today really is. Mostly it was an excuse to dress up in a casual, dressed down, sometimes frumpy crowd. However, Bella stands to be probably the only acceptable location north on Minneapolis to hold such an event.
